#bromance

Recently my eldest son (second eldest child) had the honour of being the best man at his friends wedding. It was an amazing day & I was so grateful that our whole family was invited along to share in this special event - with our son & the happy couple.

When I saw this picture of all the boys together I knew straight away that I wanted to scrap it.

I used Kaisercraft paper from the Havana Nights collection (sold through Spotlight Australia as the Tropics collection).

On the finished page the stamping I did on the leafy patterned paper does not show through as well as I had hoped but I guess the up side there is that it doesn't look out of place either - it blends right into look of the page as a whole. I used stamps #23 & #7 from Aall & Create, which I absolutely LOVE by the way.

As I haven't yet managed to get my hands on any clear gesso I used Distress Collage Medium in matt to protect my central strip of torn patterned paper from my Dylusion & Distress Oxide splatters.

The style of the patterned paper that I chose for the background made the layout very busy (to my colourblind eyes) so I really didn't want to overwhelm the page with too many flowers & ephemera.

I kept the cluster simple with a miniature playing card, onto which I applied Distress Collage Medium & Distress Ink.

Finally I finished the page with a Prima flower & a vellum flower from the Cocoa Vanilla More Than Words collection.

I decided not to place a title on the page but the one I had originally picked out was #bromance

I'm am so happy with how the layout turned out - almost exactly as I envisioned it... #winning

Here is the May Mood Board from the Scrap the Boys Challenge Blog which I drew my inspiration from.
